This is a picture of our present situation upstairs. We're in the middle of painting and caulking. My dad told me that Caulk is a homeowners' best friend. I would agree with that. Sealing, patching, covering settled edges...it's amazing. I suggest DAP for your caulking needs...specifically the 'kwik' tube...the red one. It's really easy. Beats those guns I can't figure out how to use.

I should be posting more pictures later...they'll be on our Picasa Page either tonight or tomorrow. Check back or put it on your RSS feed. I'll be updating it a little more regularly this summer.

UDPATE 1/21 OK - well, out of more responsibility  I had to figure out a legal  way to put mp3's on my son's simple mp3 player he got for Christmas this year (it's a $30 one from amazon...) Advertised as a kid-friendly player, I knew the features included a 'drag and drop' feature for mp3's.   Now that Apple has gone the way of 'music' the instructions below (original post!) are basically ancient history, but I'll leave them here for anyone who might want to refer to them. New instructions for 'freeing your freegal' music are as follows. A great guitar teacher told me that the best way to improve "play by ear" (or ear training) was to transcribe songs.  So, that is what I've been practicing.   When I find a song I like that isn't really out there on the interwebs, I like to share my work in transcribing.
