Hi there. A great guitar teacher told me that the best way to improve "play by ear" (or ear training) was to transcribe songs.  So, that is what I've been practicing.   When I find a song I like that isn't really out there on the interwebs, I like to share my work in transcribing. Here's Mr. Brandon Hampton's song "Perfected in Love" As with many IHOP-community songs, there's the 4 tags at the end at your disposal...make sure to develop your own.  Same chords repeated. I listened to a talk while I was painting the banister last night. The message really sobered me up for the events of the day. Based out of the book of Joel, Allen Hood gives some intense, practical understanding to our call to raise our children knowing the truth of God's character, to focus on the Lord as our true provider. Sometimes God's relationship with us looks different than the one He has with our nation. Hmm.
